The Old Testament
In the Old Testament, the KINGS had physical authority and the PRIESTS had spiritual authority.
Yet, with all that authority at their disposal, see what Apostle Paul said about them:
Hebrews 11:39 And THESE ALL, having obtained a good report through faith, RECEIVED NOT the promise
The New Testament
We New Testament BELIEVERS (in Christ Jesus) are in a category all our own.
We are BOTH kings and priests
Let me prove it with the next verse:
Hebrews 11:40 God having provided some BETTER THING for us (The New Creation, Believers IN Christ Jesus), that they (The Old Testament saints) without us should not be made perfect.
Revelation 1:6 And hath made us KINGS and PRIESTS unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God KINGS and PRIESTS: and we shall REIGN ON THE EARTH.
We are a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD
( 1 Pet. 2:9).
We truly are God’s chosen people.
None of us are worthy to become kings or priests based on OUR performance, because all have sinned ( Rom. 3:23).
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The Good News
BUT we are WASHED, we are SANCTIFIED, and we are JUSTIFIED in the name of Jesus and by the Spirit of the Lord ( 1 Cor. 6:11).
We are ROYALTY thanks to JESUS!
It's time to start "KINGING"!
Don't Complain, CORRECT.
Don't Agonize, ORGANIZE.
Don't Weep, WIN.
Don't Tuck Tail, TAKE OVER.
Don't Diminish, DOMINATE.
