HOW TO ESTEEM OTHERS MORE THAN SELF!
Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
The Message Bible says:
"Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone OVERLOOKED or IGNORED, that was me--you did it to me.'"
When a KIND ACT was done to someone in need, JESUS said it was done unto Him. The Lord deeply feels our hurts. When someone is neglected, JESUS says He is also being neglected.
Heb 4:15
"We have a high priest WHO IS TOUCHED by the feelings of our infirmities"
When we hurt, He hurts. When we are blessed, He is blessed. Let's take for example the persecution of the Early Church by Saul of Tarsus... Who did he really persecute?
We read that he persecuted the CHURCH:
Acts 9:1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter AGAINST THE DISCIPLES of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
Yet when he met with JESUS on his way to Damascus what JESUS said to him makes it more interesting:
Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why PERSECUTEST thou ME?
Indeed, when we hurt, He hurts too. Isn't it amazing that the God of the universe is intricately involved with every detail of our lives? This is definitely

If It's Possible To To Esteem Others Better, Then HOW?
Relax, I will show you.
Let ME borrow the immortal words of my spiritual father Apostle Victor James
# TheRockStar ,
"Am still bringing it and you are saying its too much..." !
1 Corinthians 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and YET SHEW I UNTO YOU A MORE EXCELLENT WAY.
How can we esteem others better than ourselves when really we THINK we are better than others?
In actuality:
Some people are BETTER ATHLETES than others.
Some are BETTER BUSINESSMEN than others.
Some are BETTER SPEAKERS than others, and so forth.
So, How?
WE need to recognize that our ACCOMPLISHMENTS don't make us better than others.
There is a difference between WHAT we DO and WHO we ARE.
Better PERFORMANCE does not make a better PERSON.
A person's CHARACTER can be severely WANTING even though his PERFORMANCE is GOOD.
It is easy to know why; because no one is CHARACTER PERFECT. Everyone is CHARACTER DEFICIENT as some point. Therefore, it would be immature to determine QUALITY and MATURITY by a person's PERFORMANCE over his or her CHARACTER.
TO esteem someone better than ourselves simply means to VALUE THEM MORE than we value ourselves.
Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each ESTEEM OTHER BETTER than themselves.
To some that may seem impossible, but it isn't. The Spirit of GOD wouldn't ask you to do something you weren't already empowered to do.
Whatever is expected of you as a New Creation is exactly what you are capable of doing.
You are first EQUIPPED for the task before the task is EXPECTED of you.
You are first DESIGNED and DECORATED for the task before the task is DEMANDED of you.
You are first POSITIONED for the task before the task is PLACED upon you.
You need to understand that this is not the Old Testament (LAW, which is burdensome, cumbersome) but this is New Testament (GRACE, freedom, liberty). Rom 6:14
The godly act of esteeming others above ourselves is exactly what JESUS did. If JESUS, who was God in the flesh ( 1 Tim 3:16), could humble Himself and value our good above His own welfare, then we should certainly be able to do the same.
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk (live, operate, function), even as he walked (lived, operated, functioned).
It can happen when we die to self and live to God. To die to self means to die to what YOU want. To live to GOD means to live for what JESUS wants.
2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live SHOULD NOT henceforth live unto themselves, BUT unto him which died for them, and rose again.
CHRISTIANITY Is not a calling to SELFISHNESS but a calling to SELFLESSNESS. If we think only about ourselves, we will be SELFISH.
Philippians 2:4 Look not every man on HIS OWN things, BUT every man also on the THINGS OF OTHERS.
If we get out of self and think more about the BENEFIT OF OTHERS than the benefit of self, then we will be selfless.
It's a MATTER of FOCUS.
1 Corinthians 10:24 Let no man seek HIS OWN, BUT every man ANOTHER'S wealth.
It is both my desire and prayer that you would:
2 Timothy 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

GOD BLESS YOU BY ALL MEANS IN JESUS NAME!
